Narrative

Geneva M. Pawling, 90, a resident of Phoebe Berks Village, Wernersville, for the past 10 years, died Sept. 18 at 10:35 A.M. in Phoebe Berks Health Center, Inc. Her husband, Dr. J. Allen Pawling, died May 27, 1985.

Born in Mohnton, she was a daughter of the lare Elmer C. & Estella W. (Dickinson) Leininger. Pawling was last employed as a teacher at Merkel's School, Spring Township. She was a member of Mohn's Memorial Evangelical Congregational Church, Spring Township. Pawling was a 1930 graduate of Mohnton High School & a 1934 graduate of Kutztown State Teacher's College with a bachelor's degree in education.

Surviving are two sons, Richard N., Spring Township & Robert A., Leesport. Other survivors include a brother, E. Dallas Leininger, Shillington & two grandchildren.

Service will be Friday at 3:00 P.M. in the Joseph D. Giles Funeral Home, Inc. & Crematorium, 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton with the family receiving friends & relatives from 2:00 P.M. until time of service. Interment in Mohnsville Cemetery, Mohnton.
