Jonathan Mee came to Berks county from Chester county, and located in the Quaker settlement in Maiden-creek township, where he engaged in farming, owning a part of the farm now the property of Charles Dunkel. He was a carpenter by trade, and followed that vocation in addition to farming. He had been reared a Quaker, but on reaching manhood, married a woman of the Reformed faith. Both he and his wife are buried at Gernand's Church in Ontelaunee township. He had three sons and four daughters, namely: George, John, Charles, Hettie, Sallie, Annie and Mary (Polly).

26 Oct 1833 - Inventory valued at $894.62.

8 Nov 1833 - The petition of George Mee, eldest son and heir at law of Jonathan Mee late of Maidencreek township, yeoman.... said father died intestate on the 6th day of October, 1833, leaving issue eight children: George, Sarah (wife of Daniel Kreisher), Hetty (wife of Jacob Kreisher), Polly, Ann, Elizabeeth (wife of Peter Sbach), John, and Charles. Petition to partiton the following real estate:
1) A messuage, plantation & tract of land in Maidencreek Twp containing 63 acres valued at $5040.
2) A tract of woodland at the foot of Penns Mount in Maincreek Twp containing 15 acres valued at $780.

10 Jan 1834 - Tract #1 above sold to George Mee . Tract #2 above sold to John Mee.

3 Jun 1835 - Final Account filed.
