Narrative

From https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Weitzel-550:

Frederick Weitzel was probably born before 1738 in the Palatinate (now Germany). It is assumed that he came to Pennsylvania as an infant because he was later naturalized in 1762.[1]

Possible Father:

Frederick may have been the son of Werner Weitzel (1711-1784) of Berks County, Pennsylvania.

On 16 Sep 1738, Johann Werner Weitzel (27) was among the male passengers over 16 years listed on the ship, Queen Elizabeth, when it arrived in Philadelphia, PA, having departed from Rotterdam with a stop in England. Also listed on the ship manifest are Henrich (30) and Martin (28) Weitzel, whose relationship is unknown.[2]

On 12 Apr 1762, Werner and Frederick Weitzel, both of Berks County, PA, were naturalized.[1]

From baptismal records of St John's Reformed Church (commonly called Hain's), in Heidelberg Twp, Berks, PA, it is known that Frederick Weitzel was married to Anna Maria. Her maiden name is unknown.
