The progenitor of this old and honored family in America was Johan Georg Blanckenbiller, whose date of emigration is given in the Pennsylvania Archives as Oct. 7, 1755, when he landed at Philadelphia and took the oath of allegiance. He made the journey to the New World on the good ship "Neptune," George Smith, captain.

Narrative

Note: I believe the correct name of the cemetery is Allegheny Union Church Cemetery, and is actually located in Alleghenyville, just south of Mohnton on Rt. 568 (Alleghenyville-Kurz Mill Road), just off Rt. 222. There do not appear to be any stones for him or his wife. (see findagrave.com)

Blankenbiller, Johan Georg, October 7, 1755, ship Neptun(e), Captain Geo. Smith from Rotterdam. “At the Courthouse at Philadelphia, Tuesday, the seventh day of October, 1755, before Septimus Robinson, Esquire. (List 234c) did this day, take and suscribe the usual qualifications.” They were admitted to enter the Port of Philadelphia, October 9, 1755. The doctor’s certificate certified that there was no “infectious distemper” and that “only one man and one woman were slightly ailing.”1327
