Narrative

Obituary:

In Philadephia, on the 27th inst., FREDERICK BOHLER, aged 35 years.
His relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the residence of his father-in-law, John Goodhart, corner of Penn and Eleventh streets.

Narrative

He died in Philadelphia. Death notice did not mention civil war service but given that "comsumption" was a significant killer of Civil War soldiers, it is a reasonable possibility.

Narrative

An extensive search of gravestones in the most likely area of Aulenbach did not turn up his stone. Uncertain if it was lost or never marked.

The listing at http://www.berks.pa-roots.com/cemetery/AulenbachCemeteryB.html does not show an entry for him, so it is not certain where the information that he is buried there came from. Given that his wife and parents are buried there, it is probable that he is too, but I have no independent verification.

The sources in the geneanet.org commentary mention that he is buried on "Mount Penn", on which Aulenbach is located, so it is a reasonable assumption.
