Clarence Ressler Dies, Was Mason

Clarence Ira "Reds" Ressler, 56, a self-employed brick and stone mason, died unexpectedly of apparent natural causes at 3:40 p.m. Monday at his home on Middlecreek Road, Lititz R4. He had been under a physician's care, but an autopsy was ordered.

Formerly of Akron, he was the husband of Patricia Ann Hess Ressler.

Ressler was a member of Local 16, Brick and Stone Masons Union, and Zion Lutheran Church, Akron.

Born in West Earl Township, he was the son of the late Grube and Anna Zimmerman Ressler.

Surviving besides his wife are these sons: Kevin M., Baltimore, and Andy M., at home; three sons by a previous marriage: Terry Brightbill and Barry Brightbill, both of Palmyra; and Gary Brightbill, Virginia Beach, Va.; three stepdaughters: Pamela Sue Hoover, Harrisburg; Perette Louise Bender, Akron; and Alana Forrey, Lancaster; and two stepsons, Perry A. Hoover, Columbia, and Raymond Forrey, Lititz; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; five brothers: Martin, Quarryville; Elmer, Kennett Square; Harold, East Earl; Melvin, Akron; and Elvin, Ephrata; and a sister, Anna Mae, Lititz R4.

RESSLER - Entered into rest in Ephrata Township on May 18, 1987. CLARENCE (Reds) IRA RESSLER, husband of Patricia Ann Hess Ressler, of Middle Creek Road, Lititz RD4, Pa., in his 57th year. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Zion Lutheran Church, 435 Main Street, Akron Pa., on Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. S. Alan Ruby officiating. Interment in the Wolf's Cemetery, Ephrata Township. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 N. Ninth St., Akron, Pa.
